Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026-03-22

The basics

Bright Bar builds browser extensions for developers. We don't want your data — we want to make useful tools. This policy covers the brightbar.dev website and our general business practices. Each extension also has its own privacy policy with product-specific details (linked below).

What we collect

On this website

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first and cookie-free. It collects aggregate page view data (no personal information, no tracking across sites). We don't use any other analytics, cookies, or tracking scripts.

When you buy something

Payments are processed by Stripe through ExtensionPay. When you purchase a Pro license, Stripe collects the information needed to process your payment (email, card details, etc.). We can see your email and purchase history in Stripe's dashboard, but we never see or store your card details.

We use your email only for: purchase receipts, subscription management, and refund communication. We won't add you to a mailing list unless you separately sign up for one.

When you email us

If you email [email protected], we'll have your email address and whatever you wrote. We use it to respond. We don't add it to marketing lists.

What we don't collect

In our extensions

Our extensions process data locally in your browser and don't phone home. Each extension has its own privacy policy with the specifics of what it accesses and why:

Changes

If this policy changes, we'll update it here and revise the date above. We're not in the business of collecting data, so changes are unlikely to be dramatic.
